Welcome AVID Scholars,

 

I am Ms. Horn  AVID Elective Teacher and Coordinator for the program. I have been an Educator for 17 years and the School of Social Justice has been my home for the past four years.  As a college student, I attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, Masters of Arts in Communication Studies, and Masters of Education in Instruction, Curriculum and Assessment prior to moving to California in 2000. Always mindful of students various learning styles, I like to infuse visual and verbal communication, writing, reading and art into all classroom instruction. I hope you will enjoy the school year.
