Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or in the same way.
- George Evans

The Special Education Department at SSJ is dedicated to providing students with quality education. The core purpose is to provide specifically designed instruction and intervention, as well as to give students with disabilities access to the same educational programs and/or activities that are available to their peers.

Resource Specialist (RSP): The program is designed to give support to students with mild to moderate disabilities, and to give them strategies that will help them be successful in their general education courses and prepare them for college.

Community Based Instruction (CBI): The program is designed to assist students with moderate to severe disabilities in acquiring the essential independent living skills necessary to successfully transition into the adult world.
